What is

Apricity?

Apricty means the feeling of sun in winter. A metaphor for the warmth and compassion I hope to bring to parts of your life that may feel cold, dark, or just needing a bit more love.

About Jana

My name is Jana and I am a lifelong adventurer and a licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) in North Carolina. I am excited to provide an alternative to traditional sit-and-talk therapy. I’ve never been one for sitting still and find that many of my clients are the same. Together we can play, explore, discover, grow, talk, and collaborate to help you feel better and move confidently in the direction of your goals.

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults with impulsive patterns, difficulty communicating, relationship struggles, trouble regulating emotions, executive function challenges, as well as supporting folks through transitions.
